What does the job entail?

Meet or exceed assigned sales goals related to SME business lending, deposit and fee income products & services through self-sourced outside sales activity and referrals from branches & other lines of business within an assigned market. Retain & grow assigned existing portfolio of SME clients. Contributes to the profitability and growth of SME Banking by acquiring and developing new and expanded client relationships with SME customers. Consults with customers and prospects about their financial goals and needs and identifies and promotes BBVA products and services to best meet those needs. Actively cross-sells appropriate banking products to new and existing customers and refer clients to other BBVA areas for additional needs. BBRMs are accountable for delivering on BBVA's Customer Experience by providing an exceptional financial assessment and matching all of their banking needs to the appropriate products while filling the role as a trusted financial advisor.


Business Development

Develop strategies to retain and acquire profitable relationships from existing and potential business clients by utilizing the BBVA sales processes and procedures. Utilize both internal and external referral sources and sales support teams to maximize efforts and create long-term customer loyalty.

Sales and Profitability

Maximize the profitability of the assigned market area by selling and servicing existing and potential clients. Achieve sales goals as established by management through direct sales and referrals of all deposit, loan, and fee income products & services.

Customer Service

Execute relationship banking while delivering an exceptional customer experience that stands alone at the top of the banking industry.

Operations and Compliance

Ensure all business deposit and loan account documentation meets federal, state and bank regulations, laws and policies.


  • Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent professional experience.

  • 3-5 years of banking or financial services experience.

  • Life Insurance licenses preferred.

  • Must be extremely self-motivated team player.

  • Must have assertive communication skills with a focus for sales.

  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of customer information.

  • A minimum of 3+ years' experience selling financial products, including lending, to small business owners.

  • SBA lending experience.

  • Prior Small Business underwriting or understanding business financial statements experience preferred.

  • Prior investment product sales experience preferred.
