BBVA is immersed in a profound transformation in which the evolution of the operating model towards a more agile organization is key. In this context, we are looking for a senior leader to be the Head of the Talent and Culture Solutions Development Team.
This position is part of the Talent & Culture Strategic Planning and Execution Discipline and leads the execution of multidisciplinary transformational projects within the context of Talent and Culture.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborates with the T&C Portfolio Manager and the T&C Disciplines to understand the T&C project backlog, works and supports the Project Portfolio Prioritization Ceremonies and maintains the governance framework of the Projects in Process
Looks for the best "match" between our resource capabilities and the portfolio demands, considering: (i) program, project and task prioritization, alignment of the required skills vs existing, and identification of gaps (ii) configuration of the Development Teams and current availability of resources, and (iii) their development needs / preferences
Manages the inventory of roles and team member profiles
Works with the T&C portfolio manager and Disciplines to better understand the prioritized projects and define their required “human capital” needs.
Proactively reviews the staffing needs and presents proposals during the resources allocation period.
Manages and updates the Staffing Tool.
Manages the Execution Timeline and Project Milestones according to the Agile project ceremonies
Serves as point of escalation for the SD Team during project execution
Supports relevant T&C processes, such as people assessments, performance evaluations, people recommendations and/or any other traditional HR processes
Demonstrated exceptional people leadership and team facilitation skills
Ability to provide governance for the execution of multiple ongoing projects across different teams
Advanced knowledge of Agile/LEAN/Kanban methodologies, Design Thinking, SAFE, Change Management, Project Management and Process Improvement principles
Demonstrated proficiency in leading innovation projects and business process improvements delivering significant measurable value to an organization
Ability to build strong relationships across the organization
Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
Strong facilitation and presentation skills
Minimum 8-10 years of experience leading high performance teams and programs
Formal training along with work experience in general program/project management, business process re-engineering, scrum methodologies, kanban and agile scaling models. Certifications to be positively evaluated
Experience as an Agile Coach, Scrum Master, Product Owner as well as roles at the Program or Portfolio Management level will be positively valued
