Responsibilities

BBVA’s Residential Secured Lending Operations Department is seeking a detail-oriented, results-driven Systems Administrator / Scrum Master to support Robotic Process Automation (RPA) projects. This role provides exposure to emerging technology and is a great opportunity to work on highly visible projects within the Bank. A successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, experience in delivering quality technical solutions as well as setting and executing on a strategic technical level based on the vision led by the Director and RPA Architect.

Additionally, candidate must have a willingness to understand existing processes and systems, and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. He/she should be able to make decisions quickly in consultation with team members and subject matter experts and be able to build relationships, actively participate in team work, and understand the dynamics and critical nature of the business.

Job Summary:

The overall goal of the Systems Administrator / Scrum Master is to support agile Robotic Process Automation development and maintenance teams, minimizing the time other department personnel need to spend on non- technical / development activities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership by enforcing the vision of the application architecture and safeguard the integrity of the application environment, in alliance with architects and other Technical Leads

  • Support the RPA Program by managing the infrastructure as related to licenses, virtual machines and Robotic Service accounts.

  • As Scrum Master for an RPA development team, work closely with the RPA Development Team to understand the processes considered for automation, the required application access needed for the bots and remove any blockers impeding efficient application development.

  • Manage and maintain the role-based access matrix for developers and production bot accounts.

  • Assist developers in getting the necessary applications access.

  • Function as subject matter expert and advocate for the software applications supported, requiring depth and breadth in their knowledge of the business processes, technologies, applications, integration and interfaces

  • Proactively address technical issues and risks that could impact the project

  • Work closely with the Bot Development Team’s Architect to ensure that the technical solution designs and implementation are consistent with the architectural vision

  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Display a high level of independence but perform as a team player

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information System, Computer Information Systems or related degree preferred

  • Two or more years of experience as a Scrum Master in an agile development environment preferred

  • Two or more years of programming or systems analysis expertise

  • Experience with .NET and/or Java and J2EE technologies, a plus

  • Experience with Oracle and SQL

  • Demonstrate advanced business and technical acumen for applications

  • Strong problem solving and analysis skills

  • Demonstrated ability to complete tasks within established timelines

  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationship with team members at various levels

  • Strong Communication skills - written and verbal

  • Detail oriented

  • Knowledge of Test Automation Tools or RPA tools (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, Openspan, etc.), a plus.

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Effectively manages relationships with internal client personnel and learns to manage relationships.

  • Able to work independently and with a team, demonstrating strong qualities in project coordination.

  • Ability to effectively present and summarize information
