Job description

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for the overallstrategic direction, over site, and execution of marketing, customer acquisition and retention, and the Consumer Directorigination channel for the Mortgage Segment within the Retail Banking Line of Business.

Responsibilities of the position also include directing all businessdevelopment, marketing campaigns and initiatives, growth and retention strategy in supportof the overall bank goals and objectives. Apply full knowledge of mortgage sales and operations, as well as best practice management techniques, to provide foreffective and efficient management and leadership of the group within the bank. Maintain knowledge and awareness of current bank deposit, lending, services, operations, marketing and personnel-related policies.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Direct all new business development as well as marketing campaigns and initiatives for the Mortgage Segment.

  • Design, develop and deliver a Mortgage customer acquisition strategy. Create and deliver strategy for enhancement of Mortgage and Bank customer relationships through cross-sell initiatives and strategies

  • Design, develop and implement proactive retention campaigns for the Mortgage

segment.

  • Grow and improve the bank’s capture rate of Bank customers with BBVA Mortgage.

  • Refinement, execution and growth of the Consumer Direct origination channel.

  • Mentor teams and team members to elevate analytical thinking and executional capabilities following the Bank’s values and behaviors.

  • Collaborate with Line of Business partners.

  • Plan and align long-term objectives, strategies, policies as well as short term tactics and operating plans to enhance and improve the bank’s competitive position.

  • Represent the bank in relationships with industry organizations and other key

outside parties as applicable

Education/Experience

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree strongly preferred. 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in Mortgage Banking with specific experience with marketing, analysis, sales, cross-sell and retention. Requires 5+ years management experience in a similar discipline, including demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate and organize, delivery of establish goals and objectives, and well as mentoring and development of staff. Self-driven individual with strong leadership, communication, presentation,design thinking, and analytical skills. Requires ability to analyze complex processes and sophisticated reports related to productivity, net value added and operational efficiencies to guide teams, strategy and implementation of key goals, initiatives and expectations.
